Retired Tehama County K9 Officers
K9 Many
Red Bluff Police Department
After more than 9 years of service at the Red Bluff Police Department with handler Sgt. Mike Brown, K9 Many has completed his final shift of active service. Many was the first dual-purpose K9 at RBPD, trained in both apprehension and narcotics detection. The photos are from Many and Sgt. Brown's first shift and last shift together. He'd helped with hundreds of apprehensions, sniffed out more than 500 pounds of illegal drugs, and has helped locate important evidence, including a firearm that was hidden in a field for about three weeks. No matter what, he would give his all to whatever he was asked to do. Many wasn't all about the job, though. He and his handler attended many community events to do apprehension demonstrations. One event he consistently attended was the Bidwell School Harvest Festival. He will remain living with Sgt. Brown, hopefully having a fun and relaxing retirement. Thank you, Many, for your years of exceptional service. We'll miss you!
