Meet Our Tehama County K9 Officers Tehama County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Blaze
Tehama County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Blaze and Officer Corry
Blaze is a Belgian Malinois and has currently moved to a position at the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office. They first met when Officer Corry traveled with his K9 trainer, Steve Brewer, to Riverside where Blaze was selected from 16 other K9's. Their bond quickly developed after bringing Blaze home for the first time. Now it wasn't always easy for them as they embarked on a difficult 12 week training program. During that difficult training, Officer Corry said there was one day when everything just clicked. From that day they have solely relied on each other. Blaze has an amazing drive and wants nothing more than to go to work. Blaze enjoys running around in the backyard or relaxing in his outside kennel. He does enjoy coming inside when temperatures are too extreme to be outside. One fun fact about Blaze is that he is obsessed with plastic water bottles. Officer Cory says it is hilarious to watch when he gets a hold of one!
