Corning Police Department
K-9 Ghost and Officer Ross
Introducing Ghost, Tehama County's newest K9 Officer. He and his
partner, Officer Ross, work for the Corning Police Department. Officer
Ross first met Ghost at the end of November. It took some time for
their bond to develop, but says Ross, “I'm confident we have a strong
bond now, and I look forward to having him as my partner.”
Ghost is a mix of a Malinois/Shepard. He was chosen because of his
personality and drive. He was acquired from Meyer's Police K9 Training,
but originally comes from Czechoslovakia.
Ghost lives with many other pets, including horses, a mini donkey, labs,
and a few cats (they have not met yet). Ghost loves playing ball and
goes crazy for them! He is very particular about his treats; he will only
eat one specific type.
One fun fact about Ghost, he has his very own traveling passport!
We are thrilled to have Officer Ross and Ghost as part of the Tehama
County K9 Foundation, welcome to the team
